Nice Quote on new Porcupine record….
Tom Haugen of New Noise Magazine writes, “Though there’s not a dud to be found here, “Standing By The Sea,” penned by the late, great Grant Hart, is a highlight that retains the ebullient spirit of the original and seems like a fitting memorial for Norton’s former bandmate. I may be a bit biased being from Minneapolis and all, but if there’s a better record that was released this year, I certainly didn’t hear it.”
Even MORE nice press on the new Katy Vernon album….

live. all live. 20 feet from stardom my ass, these women ARE the stars. One sings with Taylor Swift, the other with John Mayer. google this guy and see how much music you have that he played on, it’s amazeballs. played all the cool keys with Stevie Ray Vaughn and Double Trouble, lovely guy. the energizer bunny of drums.
just finished final mixes on “Suit Of Hearts” the new Katy Vernon record!
It is truly a great leap forward for Katy, both writing wise and vocal wise, plus her band got way up in it. African talking drums, lap steel, guest shots with the Laurel Strings and the Prairie Fire Lady Choir. This record will really make some noise I think.
